Everything you need to know about DTF transfers

DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is a digital heat transfer method that prints full-color designs onto special PET film with adhesive powder, then transfers to fabric using a heat press. Unlike DTG or sublimation, DTF works on any fabric color and material - cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, and more. It's perfect for custom apparel, no minimums required.
DTF transfers work on virtually any fabric: 100% cotton, polyester, poly-cotton blends, tri-blends, spandex, nylon, canvas, and even treated leather. Unlike sublimation (polyester only) or DTG (mainly cotton), DTF adheres to both light and dark fabrics with equal quality. Perfect for t-shirts, hoodies, bags, hats, and more.
Apply DTF transfers with a heat press at 300-320°F for 10-15 seconds using medium pressure (40-50 PSI). After pressing, perform a hot peel by removing the film immediately while warm. For best results, do a final press for 5 seconds with parchment paper on top. No weeding or pre-treatment required - much easier than vinyl or DTG.
Our premium DTF transfers last 50+ washes when properly applied and cared for. The polyurethane-based adhesive creates a flexible, crack-resistant bond that maintains vibrant colors wash after wash. For maximum longevity, wash garments inside-out in cold water, avoid bleach, and tumble dry on low heat.
